Verified referral rankings and published judging criteria reward genuine, detailed content that helps students make better accommodation decisions. No place is allocated by draw or chance.

Referral registration ranking
Only invitees who complete registration and required identity or student-status checks count. Unusual device, phone, payment-data or IP relationships may be reviewed for abuse.
The campaign is live, but no referral has completed the required student-status checks yet. The ranking updates after verification.
- The top ten users by valid referrals receive the reward.
- Each winner may store up to three standard suitcases that meet platform limits.
- Service runs from May to September 2027; handover times and locations will be announced.
- A qualified provider operates storage. Dangerous or prohibited goods, cash, identity documents and high-value items are excluded.
2027/28 Free Student Accommodation judged contest
Eligible reviews are scored for content depth (40%), photo clarity and authenticity (30%), and usefulness to future students (30%).

What “free accommodation” means
- The prize waives basic rent only. Deposits, utilities, internet, cleaning, administration, excess usage and other charges are excluded.
- Up to 365 nights, capped at HK$8,800 per month and HK$105,600 in total value.
- The operator may require a deposit before check-in, refundable under the agreement after a valid check-out inspection.
- Public holidays, Christmas, New Year and summer carry no exclusive priority; availability follows the accommodation agreement.
Ties and results
Ties are resolved by content depth, then usefulness to future students, then the Chief Judge. Results are expected on this page and by registered email on or before 20 May 2027.

Formal campaign terms and compliance
These are the v2.2 web terms. If final operations, supplier agreements or legal review require changes, the page will show the updated version and effective date.
1. Organiser, platform status and scope
The campaign is organised by the independent SafeRent community project. SafeRent is not an official representative, agent or recognised body of any university, hall or accommodation operator and does not claim in these terms to be an incorporated limited company.
Participation is subject to these terms, the privacy notice, community rules and any agreement with the accommodation or storage provider.
2. Period and eligibility
The campaign runs from 9 September 2026 00:00 to 1 May 2027 23:59 Hong Kong time. Referrals or entries completed after the deadline do not count.
- Participants must register with genuine information and complete identity, student-status or contact checks when required.
- The resident using an accommodation prize must satisfy operator student-status, lawful-stay or visa and occupancy requirements.
3. Referral ranking and summer storage
A valid referral completes registration through the assigned link or code and all required verification. Final rankings use valid counts after anti-abuse review.
- The top ten each receive May–September 2027 storage for up to three standard suitcases.
- Size, weight, handover, insurance, liability and prohibited-item rules follow the provider agreement.
- Self-referrals, duplicate or fabricated identities, device farms or manipulated activity may be removed.
4. Judged accommodation contest
No prize is allocated by draw or random selection. Eligible reviews are scored for content depth (40%), photo clarity and authenticity (30%), and usefulness to future students (30%).
- Reviews must be specific, objective and based on a genuine stay.
- Images must be original or lawfully licensed.
- SafeRent may request original files, proof of residence or supporting information.
5. Ties, judging and publication
Ties are resolved by content depth, then usefulness, then the Chief Judge. Random selection must not be used.
Results are expected by 20 May 2027 on this page and by registered email. A reasonable verification delay will be announced.
6. Accommodation prize and costs
Free accommodation means a waiver of basic rent for up to 365 nights, capped at HK$8,800 per month and HK$105,600 in total. It is not an all-expenses-paid stay.
- Deposits are payable under the operator agreement and refundable only when its conditions and check-out inspection are met.
- Utilities, internet, cleaning, administration, damage, excess use and other charges are paid by the user.
- Property, room type, dates and peak-period supply depend on availability and the final agreement.
7. Transfer, verification and redemption
A winner may request transfer to an eligible friend or relative, but the prize cannot be freely resold. Winner, transferee and resident must pass student-status, identity, lawful-stay or visa, operator background and eligibility checks and sign the relevant tripartite or accommodation agreement.
Storage and other non-cash benefits may not be sold, split or commercially resold.
8. Content rights and licence
Entrants retain rights in original work and grant SafeRent a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, translate, excerpt and display it as reasonably needed for the campaign and platform promotion. SafeRent does not claim full ownership of all copyright through this clause.
Entrants must not infringe privacy, image, copyright, trade mark or other third-party rights.
9. Personal data and contact
Registration, identity, referral, judging, contact and anti-abuse data is processed for disclosed purposes under a collection notice. It may be shared with accommodation or storage providers, verification providers and legally authorised bodies where needed.

10. Disqualification, changes and force majeure
Plagiarism, fabricated stays, referral manipulation, system interference, threats or refusal of reasonable checks may lead to disqualification.
Supply interruption, legal requirements, public-health events, disasters or other events outside reasonable control may require delay, adjustment or a reasonable substitute. Changes will be announced where practicable and will not introduce random allocation.
11. Law, disputes and versions
These terms are understood under the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Objective corrections or scoring review requests may first be sent to support@saferent.tech. SafeRent makes the final campaign decision under the published criteria to the extent permitted by law.
If language versions differ, Traditional Chinese is the primary reference. Supplier, insurance, privacy and Hong Kong legal review must be completed before full operation.
